I love exploring new places and I travel abroad every year. My favorite country is Ireland...I am pretty much obsessed with Irish culture, music and history! I am an avid fan of classic films and I think that Robert Osborne (TCM host) has one of the coolest jobs - aside from mine of course!

I am really interested in world-wide jewelry design and I get to see a lot of jewelry from all over the world arriving on our UC Davis international students! I'm often striking up conversations about where the jewelry comes from, the personal meaning behind it, and my knowledge of gemstones and design.

In 2011 I co-founded the Davis Live Music Collective which has presented at more than twenty outstanding concerts with artists like Ben Sollee, Mother Falcon, Dave Alvin, Camper Van Beethoven, Jon Langford, and Anais Mitchell as well as the Davis Music Fest and City of Davis 4th of July festivities.
