  • The Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) presented its annual Timothy J. Rutenber Award to Dr. William Lacy, Vice Provost for University Outreach and International Programs, and Professor of Sociology in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of California, Davis.  The award honors AIEA members who have rendered long-term and outstanding service to the Association. -- Letha Sines

  • The space formerly occupied by ISPS, HR, and Compliance on the 3rd floor of Mrak Hall is currently being remodeled.  ISPS staff are temporarily relocated to 14 Mrak; HR staff are temporarily relocated to 50 Mrak and 578 Mrak; and Compliance staff are temporarily relocated to TB 169 and 376 Mrak.  The remodel should be completed by July and will then be occupied by Compliance and Campus Counsel. -- Sonja Colbert

  • As of April 8th, Windows XP will not longer be safe to use since Microsoft will no longer provide security updates. More information available here.
  • The Chancellor is hosting monthly breakfasts where she meets with five UC Davis staff members to share ideas on how to improve processes, increase revenue, implement solutions to challenges, etc.  You can nominate yourself to be one of those five; simply email your application to staffvoice@ucdavis.edu before the 1st of each month.
  • The former UC HR benefit website (atyourservice.ucop.edu) has been replaced by a more user-friendly site: ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu. Please refer to this email for more detail.
  • Nominations for this year's Citations for Excellence are due Friday, April 4th.  This award recognizes staff employee teams that distinguish themselves in one of the following areas: Campus Community Contributions or Campus Community Service.
  • Faculty, students, and staff have access to free Box.com accounts with 50GB of storage. Also available at no cost are Google Apps (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google +, etc) that offer increased security, 30GB of storage, and are free of ads.  Please refer to this article for more information or log on to your accounts on the UC Davis Cloud webpage.  Online training for Google Apps is available on the UC Learning Center website.
